Training for Ironman

Hello everyone, I am training for Ironman Cairns which will be held on 12th of June. Ironman is 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42km run in 17 hours.

It’s great that Cairns is going to host this international event and I’m always excited to see lot of athletes coming from all around the world for this special event.

We will start before sunrise and finish after sunset around 9-10pm. It took me over 14 hours to complete Ironman in 2013.

The swim will be at Palm Cove, then we’ll bike to Port Douglas twice and back to Cairns city. Finally we are going to run a full marathon around the Cairns Esplanade.

The swim starts at 7:30am and I will be running around the Esplanade from around 6pm to 10pm. It’s world class event, so come along if you are free on 12 June.
