Canyoning trip on Sunday

Last week we booked a Sunday trip at Lake 67. The tour company picked us up in Cairns and we drove to Crystal Cascades. The instructor provided us with neoprene suits and harnesses and demonstrated us the safety and showed us how to use the harness. We wore the neoprene swim suit to protect the body against the cold water. We used the harness for abseiling from the rocks.

We were wearing a neoprene swim suit and a harness.

After the introduction we started the tour. We walked or swam in the river. But we had a lot of obstacles and overcame these by with abseiling, sliding down the rocks or jumping in small ponds. After our journey we ate lunch. Unfortunately, our tour finished after this.

It was pretty safe and the pressure on the body was not strong. The leader looked constantly after his tour participants. He kept asking about our illnesses or injuries.

I can recommend this activity, because it is very inexpensive, the tour is available for everybody and is an extraordinary experience. You can discover several good places, because you have the instructor and the equipment to reach the excellent places.
