Vietnam

People in Hong Kong always plan their holiday to travel to developed countries, like Japan, Korea, France, Italy and England etc. It is said that shopping is their main purpose of travel; however, it is more interesting for me to try something new. I had a great experience in Vietnam last summer with my girl friend.

When we decided to go to Vietnam, the first thing on our mind was to escape from crowds. It is said that Da Neng, a new tourist attraction, had been developed by the Vietnam tourist board for only a couple of years. We found a nice hotel with a private beach on the internet, it is known as a new experience in Da Neng, and it is only 30 minutes drive from the international airport. By the time we got there, we were surprised by the large fancy reception, the all-encompassing facilities, the varieties of the restaurants and also enthusiastic staff. The friendly butler dropped us off at our luxury villas, we were excited to jump into the Jacuzzi, which is on the balcony with the nice sea view of the private beach, and we had our first Champagne in Vietnam opened.

On the next day, we went to the historical garment factory, which other tourists on the tourist blog claimed was the largest traditional factory in Vietnam, and had been operated for more than 50 years. Being fashion geeks, we were thought to have been excited before we arrived. The factory is located in a rural area, which is around 30 minutes drive away from the city. We were disappointed that we only had 15 minutes on the tour, after queuing for about an hour to get in. Also, we were only allowed to visit the ground level of the factory, but spent most of the time in the souvenirs corner, where we were persuaded to buy their silk products and wooden keychain, which was not what we expected for the tour.

In conclusion, the trip to Vietnam was amazing except the factory tour; we found that it was interesting to visit some countries or places where not many tourists went. We are planning our next journey for the coming summer, please leave a line for your suggestions and the good answers will receive some nice photos from Vietnam in return.

  1. Speaking of Vietnam, I imagine the Ha Long Bay and the Vietnam war. Nowadays young people don’t know about the Vietnam war. When I was young, I watched many documentaries which showed deformed babies who were born by Agent Orange, a substance which was used as the chemical weapon by American army. But peace returned in Vietnam now. I want to go Da Nang and stay at a luxury villa with the nice sea view of the private beach. I want to see peaceful Vietnam.

  2. Well, I’ve never been to Vietnam, so I actually want to go there because of your blog. I like traveling to traditional places. In my country ‘Japan’ I often visit such places. Of course, I have a lot of knowledge about these places in my country but I have no knowledge of Vietnam. I’m planning next my trip, and I’m thinking of visiting. Thank you for teaching something about good place ‘Vietnam’.
