What the invention is…
It is a credit card. You can pay by a card without using any cash. Cards have an IC chip to certify it and if the card is VISA, MasterCard, American Express etc., you are able to use credit cards anywhere in many countries, except some small shops and businesses which don’t have a terminal.
Who invented it…
John Biggins He worked for Flatbush National Bank of Brooklyn in New York. The first bank card, named “Charge-It,” was introduced in 1946 by John Biggins, a banker in Brooklyn, according to MasterCard. When a customer used it for a purchase, the bill was forwarded to Biggins’ bank and Charg-It cardholders had to have an account at Biggins’ bank. In 1951, the first bank credit card appeared in New York’s Franklin National Bank for loan customers. It could also be used only by the bank’s account holders.
What changes it brought…
It is comfortable as there is no need to take much money with you which means you will be guarded from robbers if it happens to fall out off your wallet. While using a card a PIN code is usually needed. If you lose your card, you can just call your bank’s customer service to cancel your card. When we pay by cards, the payment should go through faster than when paying by cash.
How to use it…
Just put the card in the device and a PIN code is need. You will have to put the code in. But sometimes there is no need to put the code, for example if the prize is not high. In this case , the PIN is not necessary.

Hi Guillermo and Kosuke
A very interesting post, gentlemen! It’s a positive invention….sometimes!….but also a bit too easy to use and thus to spend too much!
So, gentlemen, what are your PINs??!!
Ha ha ha!
Well done!
Krystyna 🙂
A credit card is very convenient! But a little bit dangerous….. because if I use it too much, I can go bankrupt….. Sometimes I don’t know how much I have used it ….. so dangerous for me… Hahaha..
