The biography of Ichiro Suzuki

Ichiro Suzuki was born the 22nd of October 1973 in Aichi, Japan. He is a Japanese baseball player who has the most total hits across all professional baseball leagues in the history of the sport (certified as Guinness world record by NPB/MLB total 4257 hits).

Ichiro started to play baseball from an early age. In 1992, he became a professional player of the Japanese Pacific League. However, no one had known that he was a really good player because he had not been able to get many chances to play during his first two seasons.

Due to the fact that the manager did not like the young player and his batting style, (kicking the front foot back and then striding forward with the swing), he wasn’t able to play much. But in 1994 a new manager gave Ichiro a starting spot on the team and let him swing the way he liked. Actually, he was amazing with a batting average of 400 hits during the season.

He was not a power hitter but his running speed and throwing control were unmatched.

In 2000, he had begun his career as an American league player.

Nowadays, everybody knows his name. He has just become the 30th player in MLB history to record 3,000 career hits.
