Job Ready students spent a full day in practical training at the Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside Hotel. Under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager and his staff, students set up and pulled down lunch service for a number of functions that were using the hotel. Students also worked under the Executive Housekeeper and her staff, to shadow the housekeeping team and have practical experience in servicing a room. In the afternoon, students had the opportunity to see the operation of the hotel cocktail bar and some actually practiced at pulling a draft beer. It was an excellent practical training day and CCEB is very grateful to the hotel for their excellent training and hospitality.
