Knowing Tropical North Queensland

Last weekend I had a blast getting to know Port Douglas. This small town is barely one hour’s drive from Cairns, being a spectacular place in the world where the Daintree forest and Coral Sea form a single and drizzling landscape.

My friends and I were discovering each part of the city and we just loved this place with its plentiful nature, history, art and beautiful views. If you go to Port Douglas you should see the view from the balcony, swim at the beach and appreciate the beautiful local handcraft that you’ll find in the different stalls. Going to Port Douglas is a good plan if you want to walk around, take some pictures, have time to relax and enjoy the beach and even buy some art or craft. At the next opportunity I hope to enjoy practising diving and snorkelling. In fact it is a good excuse to come back to this paradise!
