Nara Park in Japan

Nara Park

Nara Park is a very famous place in Japan. There is a lot of nature and many deer.

If you go to Nara Park in spring, you can see the Cherry Blossom Trees.

In fall, you can see the autumn leaves and traditional temples. You will see deer because numerous deer live in this park. They are not afraid of people so you can touch them. They are hungry all the time.

So, they are always looking for something to eat. And people give them ‘shika senbei’. Shika senbei is to be given to the deer by the park visitors. It costs 150 yen (around $2.00 dollars).

If you have  Shika-senbei in your hands, you can’t escape from them!

  1. It is very beautiful!!
I have been to Nara Park a few times. Shika senbei is there for a moment because the deer eat it quickly.
    I like autumn the best.

  2. Now,because tourists visit the park a lot , the deer are supposed to be full of ‘shika senbei’….
Why are they so hungry? I don’t know! Let’s not step into the deer’s shit!!

  3. I went to Nara with my college classmate.
We bought “SHIKA SENBEI”and gave it to the deer.
A photographer was trying to take a picture of us with two deer.
So, he gave some paper to the deer. The deer stopped in front of me.
We could take the photo. But after that another deer ate my class mate’s leaflets .
Nara park’s deer are known to eat paper.
If you go to Nara park, you should be careful with your paper!!!!
