Do you think the news should be a balance of both good and bad news?

Triune Brain is a model created by Paul Maclean which analyses human behavior according to brain structure. The theory explains that more than one half percent of our brain, a compound of a part called  “the reptilian complex”, is accountable for primal behaviors such as hunger, thirst and survival.

One flower, as beautiful as it may be, loses all of its attraction when viewed close to a snake. This illustrates that it does not matter what else is around, the majority of people are able to see only the problem that can
place them in jeopardy.

With news it’s not different. People are lured in by calamity. Basically, one group of people likes to know that they are better than the others while another wants to know what kind of risk they should avoid.

The tragedy is a product that generate profits to any newspaper. Unfortunately, as well as any material, the article created by a journalist also has a price and value. As a result, the communication companies have
been writing these kinds of subjects.

Once they have been noticing that these sort of topics ensure a high level of audience, consequently it becomes in money.

Mainstream media exists only because most of the individuals like to read tantalizing stories.

Of course, the communication industry is not innocent in this story. They have cashed in on catastrophes and misfortunes around the world for many years and, usually, just a few companies really do something to help the victims of the tragedies that they report.

In my mind, it is better to realize that a balance of good and bad news is not the fix-all to help to create a better atmosphere or change any situation.
