Probably you’ve bought a product that “cost an arm and a leg” in your life.

Have you heard this idiom before?

Idioms are very interesting and funny phrases of which you are able to understand the separate words, but the meaning is totally different. You know what mean “cost”, “arm” and “leg” mean, but do you know what the whole phrase means?

Imagine that you want to buy a sports car which is very expensive, such as a Porsche. You are able to save money but this car is over your budget. We use this expression when a product or an object is very expensive.

When I was child I broke my dad’s bike, I had to face the music. This means I had to admitted guilt.

When you want to travel, you have ants in your pants. That means you are excited about something.
