Australia Day Pavlova

Nina’s Pre-Intermediate class celebrated Australia Day by learning vocabulary to describe ‘taste’ as well as reading about the origins of Pavlova. The students learned that the cake was created in honour of ballerina Anna Pavlova’s visit to Australia and New Zealand.
The students thought the cake looked similar to a ballerina’s dress! Finally, the students decorated their own Pavlova cake and had a cake decoration competition.
